Punjab Govt Announce Aghosh Program 2025 Complete Details

The Punjab Aghosh Program provides Rs. 23,000 to support pregnant mothers in 11 selected districts of Punjab. This initiative is part of the Ehsaas Nashonuma Program and the Punjab Human Capital Investment Project (PHCIP), launched by the Government of Punjab.

Key Features of the Aghosh Program

Eligible women will receive PKR 23,000 in phased payments, distributed as follows:

  • PKR 3,500 upon the first medical checkup during pregnancy
  • PKR 3,500 for the second checkup (after 3 months)
  • PKR 3,500 for a third checkup (after 6 months)
  • PKR 5,000 upon delivery at a government health facility
  • PKR 7,500 after child immunization milestones (up to 2 years)

Payments are made through branchless banking services or ATM cards, ensuring direct and transparent transfers.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the Punjab Aghosh Program 23000:

  • Must be a pregnant or lactating mother
  • Reside in one of the following 11 target districts:
    • Bahawalpur
    • Bahawalnagar
    • Dera Ghazi Khan
    • Layyah
    • Lodhran
    • Muzaffargarh
    • Mianwali
    • Rajanpur
    • Rahim Yar Khan
    • Bhakkar
    • Khushab
  • Have a valid CNIC
  • Must register with the Lady Health Worker (LHW) or basic health unit (BHU) in your area

How to Register for the Aghosh Program

There are two primary methods of registration:

1. Through Health Facilities

Visit the nearest Basic Health Unit (BHU) or Rural Health Center (RHC) with:

  • Your CNIC
  • NADRA-issued birth certificate (if you already have a child)
  • Pregnancy record verified by a certified doctor or LHW

Staff will fill out your form and begin your maternal health tracking.

2. Through the PSPA Helpline or Outreach

In some districts, mobile registration teams and PSPA support centers assist women with enrollment. Contact the Punjab Social Protection Helpline at 1221 for help.

Required Documents

  • CNIC (original and copy)
  • Ultrasound or pregnancy test report
  • Proof of residence (utility bill or domicile, if required)
  • Immunization card of child (if applicable)
