PM Youth Laptop Scheme Phase 4 Deadline Extended – Check Details
The Government of Pakistan has officially extended the application deadline for the Prime Minister’s Youth Laptop Scheme (PMYLS) 2025. On May 19, 2025, the Higher Education Commission (HEC) announced an extension of the registration deadline for Phase IV of the scheme from May 20, 2025, to June 1, 2025, giving students an additional 12 days to apply.
Who Can Apply?
To be eligible for a laptop, applicants must:
- Be currently enrolled in a recognized public sector university or degree-awarding institute.
- Be pursuing any of the following:
- PhD
- MS/MPhil
- Master’s
- Bachelor’s (Undergraduate) program.
- Have a minimum CGPA of 2.80 or at least 60% marks in their latest exams.
- First-year bachelor’s students must provide results of their Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC).
- MS/PhD first-semester students should upload transcripts of their previous degree.
- Note: Students who have already graduated are not eligible, even if they applied while studying.
📊 Quota Allocations
The scheme ensures fair representation with the following reserved quotas:
- 18% of laptops are set aside for students from Balochistan.
- 5% of the total laptops are allocated for distance learning students. These are equally divided between:
- Virtual University
- Allama Iqbal Open University
