CM Punjab Free Solar Panel Scheme 2025 – Phase 1 & Phase 2 Details

The Government of Punjab start the Scheme of Free solar panels for 100 to 200-watt consumers providing up to 100,000 free solar panels to 94,483 houses to reduce the electric bills. You can easily apply by SMS or Online web portal.
Phase 1: Last Registration Date & Installation Timeline
- Last date to apply: January 5, 2025
- Installation started: Late March 2025
- Installation completion target: End of July 2025
Under Phase 1, the government of Punjab is providing free solar panel systems to 94,483 households with electricity consumption of up to 100 units per month. The solar systems include 550-watt and 1100-watt setups with solar panels, inverters, batteries, and wiring.
Phase 2: Expected Start and End Dates
The Punjab government has not officially announced the Phase 2 registration yet. However, it is expected that:
- Phase 2 Registration May Start: June 2025
- Installation Expected Completion: By September 2025
In Phase 2, consumers using more than 100 units of electricity (likely between 100 to 300 units) will be offered subsidized solar systems, possibly on easy installments rather than free provision.

Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a resident of Punjab.
- Electricity consumption:
- Phase 1: Up to 100 units/month (Free system).
- Phase 2 (expected): 101–300 units/month (Installment-based).
- Possess a valid CNIC and electricity bill in your name.
