All Women Chamber Conference

First all Pakistan women Chambers Presidents Conference will be organized to develop mutual relations with all female chambers across the country and formulate collective women related policies on the core issues, said Nighat Shahd, President Faisalabad Women Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FWCCI).

She was talking to a delegation of female entrepreneurs in her office here today. She said that women are almost half of our population but their share in national economy is quite negligible due to the negative mindset and social taboos. She said that FWCCI is already working on a roadmap to encourage educated young females to start their own businesses instead of running after the jobs. She said that twenty one  Women Chambers of Commerce are currently working in the country. She said that she has priority one in its Roadmap for Women Empowerment. She said that in this context,  first All Pakistan Women Chambers Presidents Conference will be held in Faisalabad on 15th Nov, 2021. Its main objective is to highlight the issues of female entrepreneurs and develop consensus among all Chambers so that we could pressurize policy makers to inculcate our suggestions in order to exploit the untapped potential of female population She said that she herself will supervise this event while different committees have been formed to make befitting arrangements of this national level event.

President FWCCI said that another exhibition would also be arranged in FCCI Auditorium on Nov 17, 2021. The female business entrepreneurs will be encouraged to showcase their products in this exhibition, ‘she added’.

She said that FWCCI is going to arrange awareness sessions in collaboration with different organizations and banks so that educated women could avail from the policies of present government and for access to the collateral free finance to start their own businesses. She said that these  sessions would help women to start their own businesses with the technical and financial help of SMEDA, State Bank of Pakistan, National Bank, National Productivity Organization etc. In this context, first session has been schedule on 09th Nov,2017 wherein SMEDA Officials would highlight  on the SMEDA services and awareness on the different Schemes and grants announced by them from time to time for new start up and existing businesses.

She said that Standing Committees play a pivotal role in boosting the activities of Faisalabad Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry.  . She said that various important standing committees have already been constituted in the first meeting of Executive Committee along with appointment of Chairpersons/Vice Chairpersons while further  Committees are being formed in due course. She said in the sacred month of Rabial-ul-Awal, Milad Conference and Lecture by Dr. Nighat Hashmi were organized wherein members participated with great reverence and fervor.

‘ I have also planned to send trade delegations to different potential markets’,  She said and added that it will not only help to enhance our exports but also play a major role in image building of Pakistan. She said that FWCCI was also working to visit Dubai 2020 Pakistan Pavilion  and in this connection,  FPCCI is fully supportive to us. She said that necessary liaison with Trade Development Authority of Pakistan has also been established in this context.

She also mentioned different events arranged during the first month of her tenure and said that these events proved very successful as our members shared their views and established direct links with the concerned banks/institutions.
