CM Punjab Green Tractor Scheme Phase 2 – New 20,000 Tractors – Check Details

Following the successful launch of Phase 1 in September 2024, the CM Punjab Green Tractor Program is now moving into Phase 2, offering even more opportunities for farmers in Punjab to modernize their farming practices.
Success of Phase 1
- Launched in September 2024, Phase 1 distributed 9,500 tractors.
- Each selected farmer received a subsidy of up to PKR 1 million to help purchase a tractor.
Phase 2 Launch & Key Objectives
- Start Date: Applications will open on July 1, 2025, at 8:00 AM.
- Target: This phase aims to deliver 20,000 tractors to small and medium-sized farmers.
- The goal is to increase crop production, reduce manual labor, and support sustainable farming.
Tractor Subsidy & Options
- Subsidy Amount: Each chosen farmer will get PKR 1 million as a subsidy.
- Tractor Options: Farmers can choose models from 50 to 85 horsepower by well-known brands like:
- Al-Ghazi
- Millat
- Bull Power
- Buraq
What’s New in Phase 2?
- More Tractors: Now offering 20,000 tractors (compared to 9,500 in Phase 1).
- Free Tractors for Wheat Farmers: A special quota of 1,000 free tractors for wheat growers owning 25 to 50 acres. These will be allotted through a separate digital ballot.
- Expanded Tractor Range: Includes eco-friendly models from brands like Massey Ferguson, New Holland Al-Ghazi, and Millat.
- No Kisan Card Required: Farmers can apply directly without needing a Kisan Card.
Who Can Apply? (Eligibility Criteria)
To apply, you must:
- Be a permanent resident of Punjab with a valid domicile and NADRA-issued CNIC.
- Own or lease between 1 to 50 acres of farmland, verified by the Land Record Center:
- 1–12.5 acres: Eligible for 50–65 HP tractors.
- 12.5–50 acres: Eligible for 75–85 HP tractors.
- Have no pending loans or financial defaults.
- Not have received a tractor in Phase 1 or from any other government scheme.
- Wheat farmers applying for free tractors must:
- Own 25–50 acres of land.
- Primarily grow wheat crops.
- Women and small landowners (1–12.5 acres) will get preference.
- Tractors are for agricultural use only, not for resale or transfer outside Punjab.
Application Methods
🔹 Online Method
- Visit: gts.punjab.gov.pk from July 1, 2025.
- Steps:
- Sign up using your CNIC and a CNIC-linked mobile number.
- Fill in details: Name, address, land info, preferred tractor brand and HP.
- Upload documents:
- CNIC
- Land ownership proof (Fard)
- Domicile certificate
- Agree to terms (e.g., using tractor for farming).
- Submit and download a copy of your form.
- Save your application number for updates.
- Green Tractor App: Also available from June 2025 on Google Play Store and Apple App Store for easy registration and tracking.
🔹 Offline Method
- Go to your nearest:
- Deputy Director Agriculture Office or
- Tehsil Agriculture Department Office
- Steps:
- Get the application form from the office or gts.punjab.gov.pk.
- Fill in details and attach:
- CNIC
- Land ownership proof
- Domicile certificate
- Certificate from local agriculture officer
- Pay a small fee (between PKR 500–1,000, to be confirmed).
- Submit and receive a receipt for tracking purposes.
After Application
- Verification: All entries are verified through NADRA and Land Record Centers.
- Balloting: A digital draw in September 2025 will select:
- 20,000 general winners
- 1,000 wheat farmers for free tractors
- Notification: Winners will get SMS updates and can also check the status on the portal or in Agriculture Offices.
- Payment Deadline: Winners must pay the remaining cost (after PKR 1 million subsidy) by December 2025.
- Delivery: Tractor handovers will begin from October 2025 to March 31, 2026, based on the order of payment completion.
